The price of a barrel of crude oil, both in its Brent and West Texas Intermediate variety, rose this Friday to highest levels since the end of September due to uncertainty about the situation in the Middle East.
Specifically, a barrel of Brent oil, the benchmark for Europe, rose in price to $93.47, compared to $92.38 at yesterday's close.
For its part, West Texas Intermediate crude oil, the benchmark for the United States, rose to $90.78 per barrel from $89.37 on Thursday.
In this way, the price of a barrel of Brent reaches levels slightly higher than those recorded a year ago, while in the case of WTI the cost is around 5% higher than the same dates in 2022.
