The PP, willing to speak with the independentistas for the investiture of Feijóo, except with Bildu

MADRID, 23 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, and the party's Institutional Vice-Secretary, Esteban González Pons, have opted this Wednesday to speak with all the political formations, including the pro-independence ones, for the investiture of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, placing as the only line red to the Basque formation EH Bildu.

Gamarra has spoken in this way in several interviews on Antena 3 and Telecinco, collected by Europa Press, when asked about the round of contacts that Feijóo will begin next Monday to obtain the necessary support for the investiture.

"There is a parliamentary reality and we will summon the parliamentary groups to this round of contacts," Gamarra has maintained, but insists that "the responsibility belongs to everyone." However, for its formation there is a "red line" within those parliamentary groups and it is the formation led by Arnaldo Otegui, EH Bildu.

With regard to the rest of the formations that make up the chamber, among which is that of the former Catalan leader, Carles Puigdemont, Junts, Gamarra has left the door open for dialogue. "With the rest of the political formations, we will make progress in these talks starting next week," he clarified.

Gamarra has shown his conviction regarding the investiture of the leader of his formation, since in his opinion, if Sánchez was invested with 167 seats, the support of 172 -- which are the supports that the PP has, including UPN , CC and Vox-- is "forceful" and considers that the important thing now is to "do things well" and without haste.

For his part, the 'popular' leader Esteban González Pons has also stressed that his formation will speak with "all the parties except those that have not condemned terrorism", excluding Bildu, as Cuca Gamarra has also done.

This Wednesday, in an interview on Onda Cero, collected by Europa Press, Pons stated that "Junts and ERC, beyond the actions that four people carried out, represent a party whose tradition and legality is not in doubt", reason why the 'popular' ones will speak with all the parliamentary groups, except with Bildu.

Likewise, he recalled that the PP "moves within the framework of the Constitution", but they will listen to "everyone's claims" and will put their program "on the table". The 'popular' has criticized that Sánchez "does not understand that he did not win the elections and confuses the procedures."

Of course, he has recognized that "Alberto Núñez Feijóo has it very difficult because the Popular Party is not willing to do everything to govern."

In addition, he has criticized that "PP and the PSOE cannot speak and can never agree on anything and are condemned to hate each other." Pons considers that they must put an end to it or "they will liquidate the spirit of the transition and the Constitution".
