The Popular Party has hung a canvas this Friday in a building in the center of Madrid in which it appeals to the useful vote for its candidate, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, in the general elections on July 23, since, as he assures, at this moment They are the "solution".
"We may not be your party, but at this moment we are the solution. Vote Feijóo", reads the message on the canvas that the PP has placed on Cedaceros street in Madrid, accompanied by an image of its candidate for the Presidency of the Government.
Feijóo has focused his campaign on asking to concentrate the vote in the PP to avoid "blockages" like the one suffered by Mariano Rajoy in 2016, which forced a repeat of the elections, and to prevent thousands of Vox votes from being lost in some provinces.
This Thursday, in an interview on Onda Cero, Feijóo has stated that the chief executive, Pedro Sánchez, is willing to form a government losing the general elections and has stressed that Vox has accredited in autonomies such as Murcia that "it also blocks". For this reason, he has indicated that only the PP is a "guarantee that there are no blockades" in the Government of Spain. "The guarantee that there are no blockades is to vote for the PP", he has abounded.
Shortly after, at a PP rally in Oviedo, Feijóo recalled Sánchez's "background" in 2016 when with his "no is no" he opposed Rajoy's investiture and pointed out that this is what he wants now too. For this reason, he has appealed to the useful vote for the Popular Party on 23J.
"Look at his political background and you will come to the conclusion that if he does not aspire to win, he aspires to block," Feijóo declared, adding that only the PP presents a candidate who "has promised to govern if he wins."
After assuring that he wants to "win" the elections to "break the blocks and the blockades" and not have to "repeat the elections", he has indicated that the basic requirement to be president of the Government is to win at the polls. "If you do not win, you cannot be the president of the Government of all Spaniards. That is not admissible in our democracy," he stressed, adding that the "salad" of parties that Sánchez is looking for "do not deserve to govern Spain."
