The PP believes that the unemployment data show a "slowdown" that cannot be "covered" with discontinuous fixed rates

MADRID, 3 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The coordinator of the economic area of the PP, Juan Bravo, believes that the latest known unemployment data demonstrate a "slowdown" that "cannot be covered up even with the makeup of discontinuous permanent positions."

Unemployment registered in the offices of public employment services registered a decrease of 130,197 people in 2023, to a total of 2,707,456 unemployed, the lowest figure at the end of the year since 2007, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy. .

But in December unemployment was reduced by 27,375 people compared to November, its smallest decrease for this month since 2020, when it rose by just over 36,000 people.

"The smallest reduction since 2012, excluding 2020, despite still having more than 3.3 million effectively unemployed," Bravo assessed in a message published on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter.

And it is because of the December unemployment figure that the PP's economic coordinator considers that "the slowdown in the labor market cannot be covered up even with the makeup of discontinued permanent jobs."
