The Police locate a new body in the Campanar building: there are now ten fatalities

The work of the Scientific and Judicial Police brigade has continued since early this Saturday inside the building that burned on Thursday in the Valencian neighborhood of Campanar, tasks that have resulted in the location of a new fatality.

In this way, and after the identification tasks, the number of fatalities found inside the building amounts to ten, as reported by the Government Delegation.

Agents of the National Police, made up of a multidisciplinary team from the General Scientific Police Station of Madrid and the Provincial Scientific Police Brigade of Valencia and investigation units of the Judicial Police, have been working since early in the morning in the damaged building. .

As reported by the Police, alongside these Units there is a forensic team, all of them coordinated by the judicial authority to continue the work of identifying the victims as well as investigating the causes of the incident, in actions that are declared under summary secret.

The head of the Investigative Court number 10 of Valencia this Friday opened preliminary proceedings to investigate the causes and circumstances of the fire and has decreed the secrecy of the proceedings in order to "protect the police investigations and the privacy of the victims and their families."
