The PNV sees it as logical to support the Budget if there is an agreement to invest Sánchez, but it has not yet given him a 'yes'

The PNV spokesperson in Congress, Aitor Esteban, announced this Tuesday that, if his party reaches an agreement to support the investiture of Pedro Sánchez, the "logical" thing is that it also supports the General State Budgets for next year , although he has made it clear that both parties have to continue negotiating and that his 'yes' to the socialist candidate cannot yet be taken for granted.

This is how Esteban spoke at a press conference after the meeting he held for an hour and a quarter in Congress with the leader of the PSOE and which, as he explained, took place in a "cordial" atmosphere.

Unlike what happened in other meetings, the acting Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, also joined the meeting with the PNV, and Esteban thanked him because he believes that without the permission of his department no one else can do anything. "The Treasury is the government within the government," he noted.

During this meeting, which comes after two previous Penuvian and Socialist meetings, a "general" review of "where the situation is" and where "we want to move forward" was made. "But we have to continue, putting black on white, and we hope to do that in the coming weeks," commented the nationalist spokesperson.
