First he intends to listen to the interim president of the Federation, Pedro Rocha, whom he has summoned as a witness for this Friday

The head of the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 4 of Majadahonda has summoned the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales to testify as under investigation on April 29, at 10:00 a.m., for the alleged diversion of funds in irregularities associated with contracts during his time at the head of the entity.

Legal sources have also confirmed to Europa Press that Judge Delia Rodrigo will first listen to the interim president of the Federation Pedro Rocha, whom she has summoned as a witness for this Friday, at 10:30 a.m.

The investigating judge has adopted this decision after the Civil Guard arrested and released Rubiales on April 3 after his arrival in Spain from the Dominican Republic; all while waiting for the head of the Court to summon him to question him in court.

The former president of the RFEF arrived that day at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport having anticipated his return, although initially his return was scheduled for April 6, according to what his defense informed the court after a series of entries occurred. and records at the headquarters of the Federation and various addresses in Madrid and Granada.

During Rubiales' stay in the Dominican Republic, the judge ordered the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Armed Institute to search the former soccer player's accommodation in Punta Cana. As part of that procedure, the agents also seized his mobile phone and of a tablet.

It should be remembered that these actions are limited to a separate piece that is being investigated in the Majadahonda court (Madrid) within the framework of a procedure that was initially opened to investigate the alleged irregularities committed for the celebration of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Among the procedures carried out regarding the former president of the RFEF, the judge required some 15 banks to provide information on 36 bank accounts in the name of Rubiales and on another 96 owned by former Barcelona Football Club player Gerard Piqué, understanding that it was a measure " adequate" and "useful" for the "complete clarification" of the investigation.

The head of the court was not limited only to the accounts of Rubiales and Piqué, but also put the magnifying glass on the accounts of other former members of the RFEF with whom the former president of the Federation would have business.
