The lawyers of Edwin Arrieta's family: "They wanted this to go unnoticed"

   MADRID, 9 Abr. (CHANCE) -

Less than 24 hours before the start of Daniel Sancho's trial in Thailand, the lawyers of Edwin Arrieta's family wanted to attend to the numerous media outlets who traveled to the Asian country at a press conference. Juan Gonzalo Ospina and Beatriz Uriarte have given several insights into the keys that they will present in Court as legal representatives of the deceased's family.

"We understand that a person who has come on vacation does not need to buy a saw, it is not necessary to buy bags, it is not necessary to buy tape or knives," explained Beatriz Uriarte. "On the other hand, the acts that have been carried out subsequently are not necessary either, no matter how scared he may be."

With these words the lawyer has referred to the fact that Daniel Sancho made "the documentation disappear", with the aim that "the murder would go unpunished, and on the other hand, and what is the most macabre of all this, make it disappear the body". Ospina has supported her colleague's argument, stating that "we understand that what was sought was for no one to know that Edwin Arrieta's life had been ended."

The trial against Daniel Sancho begins this April 9 and is scheduled to end on May 3. The eldest son of actor Rodolfo Sancho, who has been imprisoned for eight months on the island of Samui, is accused of three crimes: premeditated murder, concealment of the body and destruction of other people's documentation, in reference to Edwin Arrieta's passport.
