The Government is studying the change in regional LGTBI laws "to stop it if it collides with state regulations"

MADRID, 26 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Government of Spain is studying the modification of the LGTBI laws of the Community of Madrid approved last week by the absolute majority of the PP in the Assembly plus Vox to "stop it if they collide with state regulations."

This was stated this Tuesday in an interview on 'RNE' reported by Europa Press by the Government delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín, who pointed out that these changes represent "a very significant setback in terms of rights."

"It is a reality that there has not been a setback of this nature in our democratic present. And it worries us. For this reason, the Government is analyzing this decision in case there is a collision with state regulations and we can stop it," he stressed.

In addition, Martín has once again requested a meeting with the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso. "I demand the need for a constructive, loyal collaboration and that dialogue has to be recovered to focus on finding solutions to the problems of the people of Madrid instead of generating artificial controversies that distract us. That collaboration be resumed and that it be as constructive as possible in the face of artificial controversies that distract from the real management problems, which are the ones that should occupy them," he indicated.
