The Government admits that the opening of customs of Ceuta and Melilla with Morocco is a "complex procedure"

MADRID, 12 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister for Territorial Policy and Government spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, has admitted on Monday that the customs of Ceuta and Melilla with Morocco are "complex procedures", although she has assured that "advance is being made" to try to open them as soon as possible.

This is how Isabel Rodríguez has reacted in statements to TVE, collected by Europa Press, to the information published by 'El País' in which it is ensured that Morocco has been blocking the plan to open customs in Ceuta and Melilla for months.

In this context, Isabel Rodríguez has taken advantage of this question about the customs of Ceuta and Melilla to defend that the Government "has worked and has redirected" diplomatic relations with Morocco, stressing that the work has been activated.

Of course, he has recognized that they are "complex" jobs that, according to what he has said, imply mechanisms of legal, health and homologation security with the requirements of the European environment.

"Our commitment to continue advancing in these relations and a very express commitment to the two autonomous cities is clear", proclaimed Isabel Rodríguez.
