The Ukrainian authorities have reported this Wednesday that they have risen to eight deaths after a Russian bombardment on a restaurant in the city of Kramatorsk, located in the Donetsk region, in eastern Ukraine.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has indicated that among the fatalities are three minors, two of them aged 12 and 15. In addition, according to the statement, there are 56 people injured, including an eight-month-old child.

Hours earlier, the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office reported a balance of four fatalities, including a 17-year-old girl.

The attorney general's office, which has signaled the start of investigations into the attack, has not ruled out that there are more victims under the rubble of the restaurant. He has also added that "at the epicenter of the explosion" there were apartment buildings, commercial premises, cars, among other civil infrastructures.

It has also pointed out that Russian troops attacked a house overnight, injuring five residents.

For his part, the governor of Donetsk, Pavlo Kirilenko, has indicated in his Telegram profile that Russian forces have launched two rockets at around 8:00 p.m. (local time) at a pizzeria and a nearby building. Among the wounded are at least three foreigners.

These three injured foreigners are the former Colombian High Commissioner for Peace Sergio Jaramillo, the writer Héctor Abad Faciolince and the journalist Catalina Gómez Ángel, all of them with minor injuries, according to a statement from them collected by the Colombian station W Radio.

In addition, they have confirmed that the Ukrainian writer Victoria Amelina, with whom they were having dinner at the RAI pizzeria, is in "critical condition" due to a head injury.

The National Police has reported that rescue and search operations at the scene of the attack are ongoing. "All the specialized services are involved: rescuers, police paramedics, explosives technicians and investigators and criminologists, who are documenting another bloody crime by the Russian occupiers," reads his letter.
