The counter starts today for the investiture of Mazón as Valencian president with the constitution of the XI Legislature

VALENCIA, June 24. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Les Corts will celebrate this Monday the constitution of the XI Legislature, a session that will start the counter for the investiture of the leader of the PPCV, Carlos Mazón, as 'president' of the Generalitat Valenciana in the future autonomous government for which he has come to a pact with Vox.

The constitution, the date of which was set by decree by the acting 'president' of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, will start at 10:30 am and will reveal the name of the person who presides over the Valencian parliament. This position, held by Compromís in the last two legislatures, will pass to Vox in accordance with the pact sealed with the PPCV.

Vox keeps secret the name of the person whom it will present as a candidate for the Presidency of Les Corts, since its trustee, Ana Vega, advanced that it would be a "surprise" that they will announce on Monday. The rest of the Board of Les Corts depends on this appointment, since there must be gender parity among its members.

The rest of the groups (PP, PSPV and Compromís) have not slipped any names of those that they will present to the Table, a body in which there must be parity between the five positions; so the fact that there is a president or president will condition the rest of the names.

Predictably, Vox will hold the presidency of the Table, while the vice-presidency and first secretary will go to the PP and the vice-presidency and second secretary for the PSPV, a group that has not wanted to cede any position to Compromís at the moment.

In the constitution of the legislature, the 99 deputies will occupy their new seats. This week, the Mesa de Les Corts agreed that the PP will occupy a large part of the bench on the right with its 40 seats, while PSPV and Compromís will share the left and Vox will be located in the center of the chamber along with two positions in the first row.

According to the regulations, the constitution session is conducted from an age table chaired by the oldest deputy -- the socialist Carlos Laguna -- accompanied by the parliamentarian and the youngest parliamentarian as secretaries -- Francesc Roig and Mª José Calabuig, both of Commitment--.

After the opening of the session, in charge of the president of the age table, one of the secretaries will read the decree of convocation and the list of the 99 elected deputies. Each of them will swear or promise to abide by the Constitution and the Estatut d'Autonomia; first the members of the age table and then the rest of the chamber being called in alphabetical order.

Next, the Les Corts Board will be chosen by placing ballot papers in ballot boxes. Once the voting is over, the new 'president' or president of parliament will swear or promise the position before the camera.

The constitution of Les Corts Valencianes will be communicated by its president or 'president' to King Felipe VI, the 'president' of the Generalitat, the Senate and the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.

On the same day of the constitution session, representatives of the Feminist Coordinator of Valencia will demonstrate in front of the Valencian parliament to demand that the PP comply with what it has signed in the state and regional pact against gender violence, after the agreement of government with Vox to include the concept "intrafamily violence" and not sexist or gender.

The constitution session will be attended by the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, who has summoned the media at 9:45 a.m. at the main door of the Palau dels Borja.

Once the legislature is open, the next appointment of Les Corts will be the full investiture of Carlos Mazón, for which there is no clear date, in a month marked by the general election campaign of 23J.
