The bulls of La Palmosilla star in a fast and run over first running of the bulls of Sanfermines

PAMPLONA, 7 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The bulls from the Cádiz ranch of La Palmosilla starred this Friday in the first running of the bulls of the 2023 Sanfermines with a race that has been fast and with many falls from the young men in different sections of the route, and one last bull that has come down from the rest of the herd and has come to turn around in the bullring, without causing major problems.

Six runners have finally had to be transferred with injuries and bruises after the first running of the bulls and there are no injuries from poles.

Although four requests had initially been registered, two more have been added, so that four transfers have been made from Estafeta, all of them referred to the University Hospital of Navarra: due to a blow to the face with a stomp, due to contusion with deformity in the arm, facial contusion , and contusion without leg deformity.

In the Plaza de Toros there was a leg injury, which has been treated in the Infirmary of the enclosure, and a cranial contusion, which has been referred to the University Hospital of Navarra.

The confinement has lasted 2 minutes and 32 seconds. After the three chants to San Fermín, the bulls left at eight in the morning from the corrals of Santo Domingo, without rain but with damp pavement, after the downpours of water that affected Pamplona yesterday afternoon.

The herd has come out led by the halters and from the beginning very stretched on the slope of Santo Domingo, where the horned have looked to the left and right, and numerous falls of the runners have been seen.

Later on the slope, a bull has slipped on the left side, but has not fallen, although falls have been repeated in its path.

In the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Mercaderes the herd has been stretching more and the bulls have covered the curve of Estafeta without incident. However, when entering Estafeta street, one of the horned men knocked a young man who was running on the left side to the ground with his python.

With the herd already breaking up and the bulls falling behind the halters, the runners have been able to find space to run ahead of the bulls' antlers.

Leading the race was a halter. Three bulls were more grouped at the head of the herd and behind them two bulls have been lowered and finally the sixth bull, which has covered the entire final part of the route alone.

The first horns have covered the section of Telefónica and the beginning of the descent to the alley on the right, where there were numerous waiters, but they have behaved noble and have continued down the slope, where the waiters have disputed a space to run in front of the antlers.

Already in the alley a young man has been lying on the ground as the herd passes by. The halters and the first five bulls have entered the bullring and later the pens without major incidents. Behind them, the last bull arrived behind, which, when the race was about to finish, turned around and went to the left of the arena, until finally, guided by the doublers, and without causing any problems, it entered the pigpens, ending the confinement.

The bulls will be fought this afternoon at 6:30 p.m. in the bullring by the right-handers Rafaelillo, Manuel Escribano and Leo Valadez.
