Sumar delegates to his parliamentary spokesman to meet with Feijóo and demands that the PP withdraw resources from the TC

MADRID, 1 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Sumar has delegated his parliamentary spokesperson, Marta Lois, to meet with the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, ahead of his inauguration, thus rejecting that Yolanda Díaz is the one who talks with the 'popular' leader. He has also demanded that the PP withdraw the unconstitutionality appeals that it has filed against the labor reform and the Trans Law.

This has been expressed by the formation in a letter that it has sent this Friday to Feijóo and to which Europa Press has had access. In the text, Sumar wanted to "make it clear" that his investiture "is doomed to failure" and that the "only possible government" is a coalition of the PSOE and Sumar "that advances the social and territorial agenda."

"As always, we are open to dialogue and cooperation with democratic political forces to improve the lives of citizens and the institutions of our country. In this sense, we confirm the availability of the spokesperson for the Sumar parliamentary group, Mrs. (Marta ) Lois, for this meeting," the letter read.

However, Sumar has criticized that he proposes a dialogue with the "democratic forces" while maintaining autonomous governments with Vox, a political force that "denies sexist violence and the climate crisis, and wants to prohibit democratic political formations."

This position, in the opinion of the coalition of parties led by Díaz, "reinforces" the "solitude" of the Popular Party. "You cannot want to dialogue with everyone and always agree with whoever wants to ban democratic political parties," they stated in the letter.

On the other hand, Sumar has demanded that the PP withdraw the unconstitutionality appeals that it maintains against the labor reform and the Trans Law if "it has the will to reach agreements." "If Mr. Núñez Feijóo is willing to reach agreements, he must start by respecting the current social pacts," he added.
