Madrid/Getafe. February 16, 2024. mark'ennovy, one of the most important manufacturing companies of turned contact lenses in the world, brings its new factory to Getafe with which it will multiply its production capacity by five to serve thousands of contact lens users. in all Europe.

The factory was inaugurated this Wednesday by the mayor of Getafe, Sara Hernández Barroso, as well as important partners in visual health and the media. The group - represented in the EMEA region by Cristian Ostrowski - has officially inaugurated what has become the most cutting-edge turned lens factory in Europe. Added to this inauguration are two days of intense work with meetings that seek the strategic alignment of the entire team to kick off this exciting new stage.

Because in the field of visual health, mark'ennovy is synonymous with quality and personalization. “As a Spanish brand, we maintain a firm commitment to innovation and both ecological and social sustainability. For this reason, we have decided to install our production HUB for all of Europe in Getafe. Technology, R D i and customization are the three pillars of this new headquarters, which quintuples our production and service capacity to thousands of users throughout Europe,” adds Ostrowski.

“Almost 200 employees make it possible for our contact lenses to meet the needs of each user throughout their lives. We cover everything from the control of myopia in childhood to any type of ametropia, with or without astigmatism, in adulthood and ensuring optimal vision at any distance when presbyopia appears,” says Ostrowski.

Since joining Euclid Vision Group, the company's disruptive growth has exceeded the capacity of its old factory in Majadahonda. From now on, Getafe is the group's showcase in EMEA. This new plant, technologically leading, stands out for its machinery and design, in which even the material of the floor has been taken into account, guaranteeing excellent reproducibility of the lenses. “The transition of the entire process of moving the factory, logistics and offices from Majadahonda to Getafe has been carried out without ceasing to provide service to our patients who require our products, in many cases, non-replaceable,” explains Ostrowski.

The reality is that visual health is finally becoming a priority in our country: in a context in which visual needs only increase, especially in childhood myopia and presbyopia, where measures are needed. at the height. “We know that one in three young people between the ages of 12 and 18 is already myopic, which is why one of our objectives is to treat this ametropia in childhood to prevent possible pathologies in adulthood and be able to guarantee a better quality of life,” adds Ostrowski. In the case of adults, from the age of 40, almost all of them begin with presbyopia or eyestrain, a segment in which the company is an expert. “Our group's priority is to bring personalization and the most cutting-edge technology in eye health to our patients,” concludes Ostrowski.
