The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will go to Davos this Tuesday afternoon, where he will develop an intense agenda of meetings with companies with potential investment interests in Spain, supported by the new Minister of Economy, Carlos Body, who will maintain his own agenda. , although in some meetings he will accompany the president, as in the case of the Minister of Digital Transformation and Public Function, José Luis Escrivá, who will also be present at the Forum.

In addition to the speech scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, January 17, where Sánchez will talk about the international situation, challenges such as AI and the evolution of the Spanish economy, previously, after his arrival this afternoon in Davos, he has scheduled a meeting with the CEO of Cisco, Chuck Robbins, to follow up on some of the large technological and cybersecurity projects that the company has in the country.

According to sources from the Moncloa Palace, Sánchez plans to take part this Tuesday in a reserved dinner organized by Intel in which a small group of political and multinational leaders will also be present, after which he will attend a reception and hold a bilateral meeting. with the CEO of Qualcomm, the Brazilian Cristiano Amon.

At the World Economic Forum, which is being held in the Swiss town of Davos, Sánchez will give priority to economic issues on his agenda to expose the attractiveness of Spain as an investment destination and in which he will hold meetings with directors of large multinationals, with special attention to the technology sector.

Likewise, the President of the Government also has a meeting scheduled on Wednesday morning with the top executive of Siemens Energy, Gamesa's parent company, Christian Bruch, after which he will meet with the CEO of the pharmaceutical company Sanofi, Paul Hudson, to meet later with Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and one of the largest fortunes in the world.

The marathon succession of meetings planned on the Spanish president's agenda also includes on Wednesday a meeting with Google's president of global affairs, Kent Walker, and a subsequent lunch organized by the multinational for around 90 people in which questions about technology and AI, after which he has scheduled a meeting with the CEO of Fujitsu, Takahito Tokita.
