Closes the Galician campaign in Santiago de Compostela together with Besteiro

MADRID, 16 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of the Government and Secretary General of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, has charged against the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, considering his opposition to the pardons and amnesty for the independentists false, which has marked his speech of opposition to the Government in the last months. "Feijóo only had one speech, only one, and it turned out to be a big lie," he said.

This was stated this Friday in Santiago de Compostela during the closing rally of the electoral campaign for the Galician elections, which will be held this Sunday, February 18. Sánchez has come to support the socialist candidate to preside over the Xunta, José Ramón Gómez Besteiro, in an event attended by 1,500 people according to the organization.

In this way, Feijóo has been disgraced by saying in one of his interventions in the Galician campaign that politicians should not lie, and that he did so "in the third person singular and did not talk about himself," he has ironically indicated to add to continued: "That is one of those typical lapses that Feijóo has, especially in the campaign."

The head of the Executive continues to charge against Feijóo after last weekend, PP sources indicated to various media that Feijóo would be willing to grant a conditional pardon to the former Catalan president, Carles Puigdemont, who considered an amnesty for one day after the meeting. of the PP with Junts in the month of August and that it was difficult for an accusation of terrorism against the independence leader who fled in Belgium to succeed.

Sánchez considers that after these revelations the speech used by the PP for months to attack the Government is invalidated. "And I ask you Galicians, which Feijóo should we keep? Is he really the one who negotiated pardons and amnesty with the independentists or the one who wanted to outlaw the independence parties?" he questioned.

"None, because the only truth about Feijóo is that everything about him is a lie. A big lie," said Sánchez, who has asked for a vote for the socialists as the "best remedy" against the falsehoods that in his opinion the PP.

"They have been calling people to the streets for five months against the reconciliation policy that we have been implementing in Catalonia for five years and then they privately acknowledge that they would have done the same if it were not for the mortgages they have with Vox ", has added.

Along the same lines, he has pointed out that in the electoral campaign prior to the general elections of July 23 of last year, the PP said that it would never vote against revaluing pensions in accordance with the CPI "and they just did it a few weeks ago in the Congress of Deputies," he recriminated.

Furthermore, it has disgraced Feijóo that he went "social democratic" the day before saying "that the rich have to pay more taxes" and on the contrary voted against the tax on great fortunes, in the Lower House.

He also says that Feijóo left Galicia to take charge of the national leadership of the PP "with an aura of great moderation" and now he has returned to this community "showing his big lie."

Finally, he has blamed the PP for the demonstrations against the amnesty and the pacts with the independentists in front of the national headquarters of the PSOE on Ferraz Street in Madrid and points out that if Feijóo were "coherent" he would have to call the concentrations in front of his own headquarters on Génova Street. "If they want to be consistent, let them demonstrate against themselves," he concluded.
