GETAFE, 21 Jul. (EUROPE PRESS) -

The President of the Government and PSOE candidate for the general elections on Sunday, Pedro Sánchez, has accused the PP this Friday of agreeing with Bildu in the Vitoria town hall and has asked his militants for a last mobilization effort to win the 23J. "There are a few meters left for the final sprint", he pointed out

In the closing ceremony of the campaign in Getafe (Madrid) in front of 4,500 dedicated people, including those attending and those who have been left out due to excess capacity, Sánchez has thrown in the rest and has made the last call to go to the polls to reissue the progressive Executive and prevent the right from governing.

During his speech, he has also launched an accusation against the party of Alberto Núñez Feijóo. "The PP has agreed with Bildu, to see if it opens the news on private channels and the front pages of the newspapers," he launched.

In this way, he echoed what happened this Friday in the Vitoria town hall where the distribution of the presidencies of the municipal commissions has been carried out, a body that usually remains in the hands of the opposition parties and that only establishes the order of the debates and the turns of intervention of some initiatives such as the questions that the opposition formulates to the municipal government.

After Bildu and the PP have taken over the presidencies of the commissions, the PNV has denounced that both formations had agreed on the distribution. However, the 'popular' have renounced them and have accused the PNV and the PSE of "misrepresentation", who have tried to visualize something that is not true, as they have indicated.

In addition, the PP of Vitoria has recalled that with their votes they have prevented EH Bildu from governing in the city council of the capital of Euskadi.

However, Sánchez has indicated that there has been an agreement between both formations and has asked that the media echo it. "They have been talking about the Socialist Party pacts for 5 years, 5 years," he complained.

In any case, he has once again defended the agreements that he has carried out throughout the legislature and reiterated that he seeks votes "even under the stones" to carry out social advances such as labor reform, the euthanasia law or the Democratic Memory law.

Immediately afterwards, he has reproached the PP for what they are doing is "buying the vote of two defectors" from the Unión del Pueblo Navarro to "bust" a good labor reform for the workers. In this way he was referring to the deputies from the Navarrese formation, Sergio Sayas and Carlos García Adanero who voted against this law, ignoring the criteria that their party had set.

In a rally in which the third vice president and minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge and number two on the list for Congress for Madrid, Teresa Ribera and the general secretary of the Madrid socialists, Juan Lobato, have also intervened, they have been convinced that they will win the elections, that the PSOE will come first and Sumar third, ahead of Vox.

"The Socialist Party is going to be the first political force, Yolanda Díaz's party is going to be the third political force and there will be four years of progressive government in Spain. We have to win, we have that duty because we are at stake a lot," he harangued.

Along these lines, he has asked his team for one last effort and has puffed up his chest by pointing out that they have carried out the best campaign. "We fell and got up and pedaled against the clock and crossed all the flying goals and climbed all the unimaginable climbs and we have a few meters left to reach the final sprint", he has transferred to a standing public.

He has also been convinced that they will be able to win the elections and has asked to push "to the last pedal stroke, to the last breath, to the last vote, we are going to win the elections and we are going to win them resoundingly," he added.

He has also insisted on asking for the vote of women and young people, to whom he has said that he has fulfilled his commitments, since four years ago he stood for the elections with the promise of approving the first law on climate change and he has done so. He now asks for his confidence to make Spain a European and world reference in the ecological transition.

Sánchez has warned them that they are risking the future of the country and therefore their own. "You have to vote on July 23 and you have to bet everything on red."

At this point, he has taken the opportunity to throw a dart at the Vox candidate, Santiago Abascal, whom he accuses of denying climate change and placing anti-vaxxers in positions of responsibility. "Mr. Abascal, the earth is round, man reached the Moon and the vaccines against COVID work," he snapped.

He has also addressed women to tell them that before the last elections he said that he was going to approve more advances in the protection of women. Thus, she has defended the budget increase of the pact against gender violence, the abortion law, the rise of the SMI, which has benefited 60% of women and the revaluation of pensions. "I ask for the vote of women because you cannot govern a country with 50% of its population against it," she exclaimed.

Along the same lines, he has reproached the right for making the distinction between Sánchez or Spain and raising the choice in those terms. "I like Spain, we are Spain", she has indicated.
