Sánchez accuses Feijóo of lying and making excuses about his "disturbing" relationship with the narco Dorado

MADRID, 20 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president, Pedro Sánchez, has accused this Thursday the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, of lying and making excuses when explaining his relationship with the drug trafficker Marcial Dorado, which the chief executive believes "disturbing".

Feijóo said on Wednesday that when he became friends with Dorado he was unaware that he was a drug trafficker because Google or the internet did not exist and he stated that he found it "tiring" that the PSOE questioned him about this relationship for years.

In an interview in 'Al Rojo Vivo', collected by Europa Press, Sánchez believes that Google or the internet are "lies" and "excuses" that "fall under their own weight" and regretted that Feijóo "has lost an opportunity" to really clarify his "disturbing" relationship with Dorado. "He lost a great opportunity, he lied and he owes a debt to the Spanish: a debt to the truth," the president stressed.

Questioned about why he did not ask Feijóo about this matter in the 'face to face' that both candidates held last week on the occasion of the general elections this Sunday, the president has justified that he wants to carry out a "positive" electoral campaign.

"This is a moment in which what the Spanish have to know is what the candidates' proposal is for the next four years," he reiterated.
