Seven CCAA, Ceuta and Melilla did not execute the Equality budget against sexual exploitation of minors under guardianship

Aragon, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Extremadura and Murcia, together with the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, did not execute the budget transferred by the Ministry of Equality in 2022 for the implementation of specialized training actions in prevention and detection of sexual exploitation and treatment of the professional teams that intervene in minors' centers.

As detailed by the Executive, in a parliamentary response addressed to the Popular Party, at the Sectoral Equality Conference held on May 27, 2022, the territorial distribution criteria were agreed, as well as the amounts resulting from the transfers to the corresponding autonomous communities. for the year 2022, the credit of 800,000 euros for the specialized training of professionals in the prevention and detection of sexual exploitation in minors.

In the document, collected by Europa Press, the Government clarifies that, as of March 31, 2023, the autonomous communities had to inform the Ministry of Equality about the execution of the exercise. "From the information received, it is observed that only nine autonomous communities or cities had executed part or all of the transferred credit, which represents 52.94% of the total," he stressed. Of the total of 800,000 euros transferred, 45.58% had been executed, that is, 364,609.54 euros.

By community, Galicia executed the total budget of 43,848.27, while Andalusia reached 99% execution, up to 133,445.00 euros. After these two regions, those with the highest percentage of budget execution reported to Equality were Castilla y León (88.47%), Valencian Community (86.48%), Cantabria (65.5%), Asturias (56.22%). , Community of Madrid (53.01%) and La Rioja (41.83%).

Regarding those that have executed the loan, the Government has indicated that seven of them have carried out a training project, representing 77.78% of the total implementation measures. They carried out a total of 40 training activities: thirteen in the Valencian Community, twelve in Castilla y León, nine in Andalusia, two in Cantabria and Galicia, one in La Rioja and one in Asturias.

"The detection, protection and comprehensive care of victims of sexual violence under age requires a coordinated and homogeneous inter-institutional response that, from a common approach, connects all levels of the Public Administration with powers in the matter, and ensures detection and specialized intervention aimed at cessation of violence and the comprehensive recovery of the victims," ​​the Government has stressed.
