There are 57 names, "brilliant" profiles and from civil society, who join the candidacy led by Villacís, including the former president of the Madrid Assembly Juan Trinidad. Santiago Saura, until now delegate of the International Area, closes the list, symbolically for his desire to return to the university but with the conviction that the 'oranges' will continue to be "determinants" for "the good of Madrid".

"They are safe values on a better list than the previous one," the politician and lawyer has outlined, insisting that what happens in Madrid in the next municipal elections on May 28 will have "great significance" at the national level.

"There are people who did not want to enter the 2019 list because politics today is not attractive and it is difficult to take the step. We are not oblivious to the difficulties but we are very optimistic with the surveys that indicate that Cs is going to enter and it will be very decisive," he said.

The electoral list is made public after the abandonment of at least five of the eleven orange mayors. The first to announce their break with the party were Pepe Aniorte and Ángel Niño. Added to the losses are Alberto Serrano, Concha Chapa and Sofía Miranda.

Regarding her departure, the mayoral candidate has limited herself to pointing out that the people who were on the list "knew it perfectly" and the councilors who have broken with the party were aware that she was not going to count on them, without wanting to dedicate time to think about these losses.

Rigorously white and with a wide smile, the 'orange' leader in Madrid has not missed the opportunity to throw slaps at the PP for its negotiations with orange exediles, stressing that the greatest value of her team is integrity and honesty.

"Integrity is very important in politics and one thing we can congratulate ourselves on is that yes, I have said no to being mayor twice and it is what I would like most in the world and I am going to fight for it," he stressed. .

In her speech, the deputy mayor stressed that Ciudadanos is aware that these upcoming elections are "the most transcendental that the formation as a party faces", which is why they present a list that has been worked on and is better than the previous one.

"If the 2019 elections were very important and included a team of experts in technocracy to address the first stage of government, now it is a much better list than the previous one," he noted, recalling the difficulties that have faced these years such as the pandemic and claiming his achievements in a coalition government.

Along these lines, he stressed that what has been his team in Cibeles has not offered scandals and has had "the opportunity to show that they are loyal and upright." "There are no examples of others having the opportunity to be mayor and I have rejected it because for some the word is very important," she has reviewed.

He has also drawn from the achievements of his councilors such as the milestone of Mariano Fuentes in unblocking the Chamartín operation or promoting the strategy of the southeast developments with the largest bag of affordable homes.
