Russian Army bombs positions of Syrian anti-government armed groups in Idlib

MADRID, 2 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Russian Army Air Forces have bombed positions of anti-government Syrian armed groups in the Idlib region, in the northwest of the country, in response to attacks on Syrian Army positions.

"In the areas of the settlements of Kansafra and Ain Shib in Idlib province, a bastion and an underground shelter of militants were hit," said Vadim, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria. Kulit, according to the Russian news agency Interfax.

On the other hand, he has accused the international coalition, led by the United States, of carrying out 13 violations of Syrian airspace, thus creating "dangerous situations" in the country's skies.

Idlib is dominated by Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS) - heir to the al Nusra Front, a former affiliate of Al Qaeda in Syria - so it remains outside the control of the Syrian authorities. Various armed groups also operate in the region that have support from Turkey, which has also deployed soldiers in this province.
