Renfe offers more than 2 million seats on its trains this week for the return operation

Renfe has put up for sale more than 2 million seats to travel this week on AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Euromed, Intercity, Avant and Regional trains, on the occasion of the return from summer vacation operation.

The reinforcements in this operation are concentrated especially on arrivals in Madrid and Barcelona, ​​with 6,624 reinforcement seats and 16 double-composition trains, as in the areas that form part of the Mediterranean arc.

During this summer, the corridors with the greatest supply and demand have been those that link Madrid with the Costa Brava, the Costa del Sol and those of Levante.

Added to these return reinforcement seats is the offer of Avant and Regional trains that Renfe has scheduled until September 3: more than 5,000 circulations with more than 1.3 million seats.

The mobility of these travelers will be, above all, on trains originating from the coast, as well as in those destinations where events of interest, festivals or parties have been held.

Renfe defends that the millions of seats offered "are equivalent to tens of thousands of private vehicles", thus avoiding "thousands of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere", thanks to the electric energy of renewable origin with a Green Certificate that powers its trains.

In this way, this device for increasing seats in rail transport contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 13 (Climate Action), which calls for the adoption of urgent measures to combat climate change and its effects.
