PSOE and Junts advance in the negotiation of an investiture agreement and includes amnesty for cases outside the process

PSOE and Junts are advancing in the negotiation of an investiture agreement this Monday in Brussels, which includes an amnesty law in which officials not directly related to the independence process will finally be included, according to negotiation sources.

The members of the Junts permanent party have traveled to the Belgian capital to meet again with the former president of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont with the aim of advancing negotiations with the PSOE for an agreement that allows the investiture of Pedro Sánchez.

The Secretary of Organization of the PSOE, Santos Cerdán, has also traveled to the Belgian capital, although socialist sources have confirmed that he has not met in person with the members of Junts, although that has not prevented the negotiation from advancing "little by little." while legal advisors from both parties review the technicalities of the text.

The same sources point out that this makes the process "dilate" in time and avoid making estimates of the expected closing of a possible agreement.

Along the same lines, Junts sources point out that they are exchanging documents with the PSOE on the amnesty law to "refine" and ensure that nothing is left loose, according to what they say.

On the other hand, sources consulted by Europa Press have assured that the PSOE has accepted that the amnesty includes those responsible not directly related to the independence process, without specifying the cases and names that it could cover.

Junts requested that the amnesty include those affected by the 'Volhov' case (alleged diversion of public funds for activities linked to the independence process) and cases framed in 'lawfare'.

One of those affected by 'Volhov' is the head of former President Puigdemont's office and his right-hand man, Josep Lluís Alay, and Junts also wants the amnesty to include other names, such as that of his lawyer, Gonzalo Boye; the former Minister of the Generalitat Miquel Buch and Borràs herself.
