PP and Vox seal an agreement by which Abascal's party abstains and does not enter the Balearic Government

PALMA, 28 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

PP and Vox have signed an agreement this Wednesday for the investiture of Marga Prohens as president of the Government, under which those of Santiago Abascal will not enter the Government but will enter the island councils of Mallorca and Menorca.

The spokespersons for both formations, Sebastià Sagreras (PP) and Idoia Ribas (Vox), have signed the agreement thanks to which the Vox deputies will facilitate the formation of a lone regional executive for the PP with their abstention.

In any case, the leadership of the parties in Mallorca and Menorca have also reached agreements to support the investitures of Llorenç Galmés and Dolfo Vilafranca as island presidents, assuming, in this case, portfolios in the island institutions.

The agreement includes 110 programmatic points to "achieve an end to the socialist and separatist policies in the Islands applied by the previous Government, as well as the bases for a change in the Balearic Islands that primarily addresses problems such as the lack of linguistic freedom, access to the housing, lower taxes, support for the family or the fight against illegal immigration".

As they have indicated, a Monitoring Commission will be created that will meet periodically to assess the degree of compliance and execution of each of the agreed measures and will review the legislative actions planned by the Government.

In addition, Vox has promised to "give stability" to the PP Government and not present an amendment to all the regional Budgets throughout the legislature, as long as the agreement is not included.

These are the 110 programmatic measures that PP and Vox have agreed upon.
