PP and VOX close an agreement to govern Aragon and Azcón will be sworn in as president next week

ZARAGOZA, 3 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The PP and VOX have closed an agreement to govern Aragon during the legislature that has now begun, after the regional elections on May 28, and the president of the popular, Jorge Azcón, will be sworn in as president of the Autonomous Community next week.

This has been indicated to the media by sources of PP Aragón. In application of this agreement, the content of which has not been specified, the PP would join forces with VOX, which would take over a vice-presidency of the regional Executive, with the powers of Territorial Development and Justice, and also of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Cortes de Aragón of the XI Legislature were constituted on June 23, the date on which the VOX deputy Marta Fernández was elected president of the chamber and the Table was formed, of which representatives of the PP and PSOE are part.

Jorge Azcón opened a period of negotiations in which he did not rule out having the support of the deputies of PAR (1) and Teruel Existe (3), although finally the popular ones have closed an agreement with VOX.

PP and VOX add up to 35 deputies, 28 from Azcón's party and 7 from Alejandro Nolasco's, so they have an absolute majority in the chamber, which has 67 deputies, and the PSOE, Podemos, PAR, Teruel are also part of the Aragonese Parliament Exists, CHA and UI.
