Nordex receives an order from Capital Energy in Spain for 106 MW

MADRID, 4 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Nordex, a wind turbine manufacturer owned by Acciona, has received an order from Capital Energy for the supply and installation of 18 106 MW wind turbines in the 'Mareas I and II' wind farm near Mequinenza, in the province of Zaragoza.

The Delta4000 series turbines will be installed on steel tube towers with a hub height of 108 meters in the spring of 2025, with the expectation that they will come into operation in June of that year.

The order also includes a 'premium' service for the turbines for a period of 20 years, thus guaranteeing that Nordex will service the turbines throughout their useful life, as reported in a statement.

"This agreement with Nordex represents a new milestone in the fulfillment of our business plan, with which we continue to promote a green and fair energy transition, and also represents a new step in our firm commitment to the generation of wealth and employment in the regions. where we operate and with the supply and technological chain of the countries of the European Union and, specifically, Spain," said the CEO of Capital Energy, Juan José Sánchez.

For his part, the Sales Director of Nordex, Patxi Landa, highlighted that this operation "confirms once again the potential of the region and the growing presence of the Nordex group in the Spanish market", where so far this year it has acquired new businesses worth more than 500 MW.

Capital Energy is an independent Spanish electricity producer (IPP) with a strong presence in Spain and one of the largest portfolios of wind projects under development in the country.
