Marta Fernández (Vox) will preside over the Cortes after the agreement with the PP attached to the Aragonese Parliament Table

The elected deputy of Vox Marta Fernández will preside over the Cortes of Aragón during the XI Legislature after the agreement that this party has reached with the PP this Thursday, June 22, adhered to the constitution of the Parliamentary Table, which the 67 parliamentarians will elect in plenary session this Friday, starting at 11:00, at the expense of definitively closing the agreement this Friday.

Precisely, the vice president of Vox, Jorge Buxadé, and the spokesperson for this party in the Senate, María José Rodríguez de Millán, will visit La Aljafería this Friday.

In a press release, Vox has indicated that PP and Vox have reached an agreement this afternoon for the election of the Board. "The agreement between both formations is the result and expression of a majority of change that has manifested itself in Aragon in the elections of May 28," they have stated.

"Vox, as the third political force in the Aragonese Community, had already expressed its willingness to be represented in the Table of the Cortes, out of respect for its voters."

The election of Marta Fernández as president of the Cortes "is a source of pride and responsibility that Vox assumes, with the institutional respect that the Cortes de Aragón deserve, and with an attitude of service towards all Aragonese and the pluralism of political options that the Parliament reflects".

Vox has made it clear that with this agreement "there is no talk of the investiture" of Jorge Azcón (PP) as president of the Government of Aragon, adding that "both parties will continue without pause, but with discretion, to search for an agreement in those issues that make it possible to draw up a governance agreement". "Now it's time to start the XI legislature and this agreement makes it possible to start a majority of change in Aragon", they have concluded from Vox.
