La Rioja, Cantabria, the Balearic Islands and Navarra, the communities to which there has not yet been a transfer of migrants

MADRID, 27 Oct. (EUROA PRESS) -

La Rioja, Cantabria and the Balearic Islands are the only autonomous communities that so far have not received migrants from the Canary Islands, nor have they confirmed that they are preparing a device for the arrival, as is the case in Castilla-La Mancha. According to the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, some 5,000 people in an irregular situation have so far been transferred to the Peninsula and distributed throughout the autonomous communities.

In the case of the Balearic Islands, the Government Delegation has no record of the referral of migrants to this autonomous community, apart from the 10 unaccompanied minors whom they committed to hosting at the Sectoral Conference, as did the rest of the autonomous communities. .

La Rioja also has no evidence that people in an irregular situation will be sent from the Canary Islands and sources from the Cantabria Delegation have ruled out, in statements to Europa Press, that this community will be included in the distributions planned by the Ministry. of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations.

According to the information offered by the Government Delegation in Navarra, this community has not been a destination location until now, although they have admitted that this situation "could change in the coming weeks or days", so they are studying the availability of accommodations.

Likewise, Castilla-la Mancha has not received migrants so far, although in this case the availability of 150 places in different accommodation resources in the different provinces has already been confirmed. "We have resources prepared in all provinces to care for people who come to the region," the Government Delegation has highlighted.

In the rest of the communities, the transfers have already been made effective, many of which have not been confirmed by the Government delegations until this Friday. This is the case of Asturias, where last weekend 50 arrived in the Principality, which have been distributed equally between Oviedo and Gijón, all through the NGO Accem. But in addition, the arrival of another 30 is imminent, probably this Friday, in this case through the NGO Movement for Peace. These will be located at the San José de Sotrondio School, in the municipality of San Martín del Rey Aurelio.

Likewise, Catalonia has welcomed 1,955 adult migrants and 33 minors since the beginning of October, and the arrival of 36 has been confirmed in the Basque Country, specifically Vitoria.

The Valencian Community is another of those that has confirmed the reception of migrants. Specifically, they have been referred to Valencia, Alicante and Gandía. And, in Andalusia, the arrival of 115 people who will go to the Viznar hostel in Granada is expected late this Friday. These join the more than 400 that have already arrived in Almería.

The figure that has emerged in Galicia is 400, distributed between Sanxenso (Pontevedra) and other towns in La Coruña. A total of 21 shelters integrated into the Galician Association of Private Hostels (Agalber) have offered the Government 1,050 places to accommodate migrants who will arrive in Galicia.

In the case of Aragon, the Government Delegation has announced an increase in available places, specifically 50 places in Tarazona and 85 in Zaragoza, in addition to those available in Huesca. He has also announced that, in the coming weeks, the Teruel municipalities of Cella and Albarracín may receive more people.

At least 250 were transferred to Castilla y León to Medina del Campo, where they were housed in the spa. The regional government has been upset by the "obscurantism" with which the central government has carried out these transfers and has demanded the convening of a Sectoral Conference to plan the transfers.

Along with Castilla y León, the community of Madrid has been the most belligerent with the Government's immigration policy after its president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, accused Pedro Sánchez's Executive of treating migrants as "packages." For this community, the Ministry has confirmed the installation of camps on Defense land located in the General Arteaga barracks of the Army and in Alcalá de Henares.

Extremadura already hosts more than 350 migrants who have been derived from the Canary Islands, of which 140 are in Malpartida de Cáceres, 28 in the city of Cáceres and the rest in the Emeritus shelter. Precisely, the mayor of Cáceres, Rafael Mateos, showed this Friday his willingness to collaborate with the reception, but he regretted the lack of information from the Government, which "did not" inform him that 40 of these migrants were going to arrive in the city. .
