Israel detects three rockets launched from Syria against the Golan Heights

The Israeli Army has reported this Saturday the launch of up to three projectiles from Syrian territory, one of which has reached the Syrian Golan Heights controlled by Israel without any evidence of damage.

The projectile that has gone the furthest has fallen in an open area near the town of Meitsar, where the alarms had previously been activated, reports the newspaper 'The Times of Israel'.

However, the Army has not used the anti-aircraft system known as the Iron Dome, a surface-to-air missile and radar system designed to intercept such attacks because the rocket was not aimed at populated areas.

The other two projectiles have hit territory controlled by Syria and it is even speculated that one of them has hit Jordanian territory.
