Héctor Bellerín leaves for Sporting de Portugal

MADRID, 31 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

FC Barcelona confirmed this Tuesday at the end of the winter market the departure of full-back Héctor Bellerín, who has been transferred to Sporting de Portugal after not having counted too much for Xavi Hernández.

The Catalan returned to Barça this summer, where he remained in the youth academy, after passing through English Arsenal and Real Betis in order to strengthen the position of right-back in the Barça team, but he has barely had opportunities.

In total, Bellerín, 27, has only played seven games, three in LaLiga Santander, two in the Copa del Rey and another two in the Champions League, and five of them as a starter. In the domestic tournament he had not played since the end of October and now he is coming to the Portuguese team to take the place of the Spanish Pedro Porro, who seems to be heading to Tottenham.

"FC Barcelona publicly expresses its gratitude to Bellerín for his commitment and dedication and wishes him good luck and achievements in the future," said the current leader of LaLiga Santander, who remains with the Frenchman Jules Koundé, the Uruguayan Ronald Araújo. and Sergi Roberto as alternatives for the right side.
