The average price of gasoline has set a new annual low this week after chaining its eleventh consecutive drop, thus accumulating a decrease of 11.5% since the end of September.

Specifically, the average price of a liter of gasoline has decreased by 0.95% this week compared to last, to stand at 1.557 euros, according to data from the European Union Oil Bulletin collected by Europa Press.

For its part, diesel has had its tenth consecutive week of declines, with a drop of 1.1% compared to the previous week, to 1.526 euros for the average price per liter.

Thus, the price of a liter of diesel has decreased by 9.6% since the beginning of October and falls to levels not seen since the end of July.

With this downward spiral, the price of a liter of gasoline remains below the levels at which it was before the outbreak of the Russian invasion of Ukraine -1,592 euros per liter-, which began on February 24, 2022. With these levels, the price of 95 unleaded gasoline in Spain remains below the average of the European Union, located at 1,684 euros per liter, and of the eurozone, with an average price of 1,731 euros.
