Garriga assures that Vox is at its "best moment" and denies crisis after the goodbye of Espinosa de los Monteros

He rejects that there are "factions" in the party and affirms that they are "clear" about the new parliamentary spokesman, without giving names

Vox's general secretary, Ignacio Garriga, said this Friday that the party "is at its best political moment" and "is in good health." Thus, he has denied that there is an internal crisis after the departure of the former spokesman in Congress, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, and the resignation to succeed him in the seat of doctor Juan Luis Steegmann.

"Therefore, let's banish once and for all any theory of crisis, of factions and, in short, of absolutely false fictions of terror that the only thing they want is to bury Vox once again," he assured in an interview this Friday in RNE, collected by Europa Press.

And he has blamed the media for mounting a campaign of harassment and manipulation against his party, saying that "the only crisis" is that of media credibility.

In this sense, he has indicated that the departure of Espinosa de los Monteros is due to family and personal reasons, "as he himself stated", stressing that he is an "asset" who "continues to collaborate" as a member.

The leader has said that he considers the former spokesman in Congress a friend, to whom he has conveyed his gratitude for the "enormous" work of these years, just as "one hundred percent of the party" recognizes him, he added.

NEW LEADERSHIP

Garriga has advanced that they are "clear" who will take over from Espinosa de los Monteros as spokesperson in Congress and they will announce it in the coming days. "It will communicate when it touches," he explained.

In this context, he highlighted that within Vox there are people "committed and prepared" who will assume the role of, and decide, "more protagonism" in the "new stage".

Garriga has pointed out that "new leadership" is emerging in Vox, but that the party's principles will remain the same: denounce insecurity, illegal immigration or the waste of public money, among others. In addition, he stressed that there is "absolute commitment" in training.

Regarding criticism such as that of former deputy Rubén Manso, who maintains that Vox has no future, Garriga has responded that "if some criticize so much that they have not renewed on the lists", that "evidence that they would want to be in the position they enjoyed a few months ago that is, being deputies".

Garriga wanted to send a message of "tranquility", stating that "Vox is stronger than ever", "at its best political moment" and "enjoys health like never before", emphasizing the regional governments and town halls in which who have entered into a coalition with the PP.

Finally, he has recognized that they are in the process of reflection after the general elections, in which they lost 19 seats, and has said that there will be meetings of the management bodies in the coming weeks. "With absolute naturalness, as always," he added.
