Garamendi (CEOE) suggests paying the total payroll to workers and having them enter their contributions

MADRID, 9 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), Antonio Garamendi, believes that workers should receive their full monthly payroll and be the ones who submit their contributions to Social Security.

"It is the way in which you would really see how much the real cost of salaries is in Spain," said Garamendi in statements to the press during his attendance at the IV CEOE Trade Meeting.

The business leader has explained that it would be a matter of ensuring that all the money from his payroll reaches the worker and that he - as happens with Income Tax - is the one who declares before Social Security and the Treasury.

"It can be almost double what someone can really afford," said Garamendi, who has once again justified his 'no' to the pension reform carried out by the former Minister of Inclusion José Luis Escrivá in the higher cost for companies.
