Fernando Alonso rolls with his new AMR23: "It's good to be back"

The Spanish Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso drove the Aston Martin AMR23 for the first time this Wednesday, during a video session of the English team at Silverstone, a debut and return to the track that he enjoyed already thinking about the official tests.

"It was a good day and I enjoyed being able to drive the AMR23 for the first time. It's good to be back and feel the speed of an F1 car after some time away from it. We completed a lot of things today because it's a filming day and we stick to our plan without problems," he said in statements provided by his team.

After the presentation of Aston Martin on Monday, Alonso was able to drive his new car, with the English rain present and with wet tires on the car. The Spaniard was also able to ride dry in the afternoon, with a small appetizer of 16 laps before the test next week in Bahrain.

"We have to wait until next week's test and we will get to know our car and where the competition is after the winter. We only have a day and a half each to catch up with everything in Bahrain, so we have to make the most of it. the time we have with the car", he said.
