Bendodo sees it as "complicated" to speak with Junts: "He has decided a long time ago to be outside the Constitution by promoting independence"

The general coordinator of the PP, Elías Bendodo, has advanced that the leader of his party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will begin talks with the parliamentary groups next week with a view to his investiture. In addition, the 'number three' of the PP has shown himself confident in getting the four remaining supports to achieve a sufficient majority, although he has avoided talking about which parties these four votes would be, referring to negotiations.

This is how Bendodo spoke in an interview on Cadena SER, collected by Europa Press, after the King appointed Alberto Núñez Feijóo on Tuesday as a candidate for an inauguration as Prime Minister.

In this context, Bendodo has explained that it will be from Monday, August 28 when the 'popular' begin these negotiations with the political parties since the president of Congress, Francina Armengol, has extended until this Friday the deadline to form the parliamentary groups .

And as for the deadlines for this investiture, Bendodo recalled that it depends on Armengol, although he considers that "he has shed some light" by extending the deadline to form these groups, unloading this responsibility for the dates on the president of Congress.

In the effort to get these four supports that he lacks, Bendodo has shown himself confident and hopeful in tying them down, remembering that they can even be abstentions, although he has referred to the negotiations and the work of Feijóo to try to achieve it.

From here, the 'popular' leader has indicated that he does not see "nothing impossible" when asked about possible support from the PNV for this investiture of Feijóo, although the Basque formation already rejected this possibility.

Likewise, Bendodo has spoken about Junts, of which he has said that "he sees it difficult" to dialogue with them for this investiture, placing Carles Puigdemont's party "outside" of the Constitution by "promoting independence".
