"The plot reaches Sánchez," proclaims the head of the opposition, alluding to his wife's meetings with Globalia

MADRID, 4 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, denounced this Monday that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, continues without giving explanations for the so-called 'Koldo case' regarding the alleged plot of bites in the purchase of masks during the pandemic when, according to has stressed, every day there are "more socialist officials involved."

"They knew it and they covered it up," Feijóo emphasized, in a message on social network 'X', formerly Twitter, again accusing Sánchez and his Government of having data on this alleged plot for at least three years and hiding it, as He already told him personally in the control session with the Government held a week ago.

Feijóo has stated that "the plot reaches Sánchez", alluding to the meetings of his wife, Begoña Gómez, with Globalia on the eve of the rescue of Air Europa. The 'popular' have already warned these days that they do not rule out demanding the appearance of his wife before the investigative commission that they have promoted in the Senate.

According to what the newspaper 'El Confidencial' published this Monday, Gómez met secretly with the CEO of Globalia, Javier Hidalgo, in 2020 at the holding's headquarters in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), on dates in which the Government created a fund of 10,000 million euros that ended up being used to rescue his airline, Air Europa, with 475 million public funds.

The president of the 'popular' has denounced that Pedro Sánchez continues without giving explanations about the so-called 'Koldo case' and has stressed that "every day there are more socialist officials involved" in this plot.

This Saturday, Feijóo already demanded in Bilbao that the Chief Executive explain what is happening in "his government and at home", adding that his Government is "in decomposition". As he insisted, he must abandon his "forward flight" and leave the "bunker."

Likewise, Feijóo has pointed out today that the data they are knowing "makes the resignation mandatory" of the president of Congress, Francina Armengol, who "cannot reach the next Plenary Session of the Chamber as president."

This same Monday, the PP has registered a letter in which it formally requests Armengol's resignation. The spokesperson for the Popular Group in Congress, Miguel Tellado, has identified her as an "alleged necessary collaborator" in the "scam" that the 'Koldo plot' carried out in the Balearic Islands with the purchase of masks by the regional government and has requested Sánchez to act with "coherence" and demand "political responsibilities", just as he did with the former Minister of Transport José Luis Ábalos.

According to Tellado, although a week ago it might still have been thought that the president could have been a "victim of a scam," it is now clear that she "played a key role" in making it happen.
