Feijóo and Abascal held a meeting last week to analyze the scenario after 23J

MADRID, 31 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leaders of the Popular Party and Vox, Alberto Núñez Feijóo and Santiago Abascal, held a face-to-face meeting last week to analyze the open scenario after the general elections held on July 23.

Sources from the Vox management have confirmed that both leaders had a first contact by telephone in which they were summoned to hold a face-to-face meeting, which was finally held in the middle of last week.

In the meeting they dedicated themselves to analyzing the result of the general elections, with the lack of sum of PP and Vox for an absolute majority and the uncertainty about possible pacts that make an investiture possible.

The same election night, Abascal blamed the PP for having "frustrated the alternative" with its calls for a useful vote. He also accused the PP of having believed "manipulated" polls and taking victory for granted before achieving it. "They sold the bear skin before hunting it," he censured.

The 'popular' have also opened a debate on the strategy they must follow regarding Vox while thanking Abascal's announcement that his party will not be "an obstacle" to the formation of an Executive that prevents a Government "of destruction national", which pointed out that it could be achieved with the support of some members of the "good PSOE".
