ERC reveals contacts for the PSOE to chair the Congress and for the independence movement or the PNV to enter the Table

He knows that "Albert Batet has spoken with the 'president' Pere Aragonès and that Jordi Turull is speaking with Marta Rovira"

BARCELONA, 7 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The number two of the ERC to the Congress for Barcelona in the general elections, Teresa Jordà, has said that one of the chairs of the lower house table "could belong to the independence movement or the PNV. That is open and is part of the negotiations" .

In an interview this Monday in 'El Periódico' collected by Europa Press, he has assured that the leader of En Comú Podem, Jaume Asens, has contacted his party although his "interlocutor is not Sumar", but the PSOE more beyond the Catalan part.

He pointed out that the Socialists have told them that for ERC and Junts "there will be no problem with having their own group", which he values as --literally-- a gesture of goodwill to start talking.

He has also maintained that it is "obvious" that for this dialogue they need a Board chaired by what he defines as supposed Spanish progressivism, in his words, alluding to the Socialist Party.

Jordà explained that at the same time that they are negotiating the constitution of the Congress Table with the Socialists, they are talking with Junts: "I know that Albert Batet has spoken with the 'president' Pere Aragonès and that Jordi Turull is speaking with Marta Rovira".

The second on the Republican list in the 23J general elections has indicated that she wants to think that "nobody will castle themselves in maximalist positions" in the framework of the negotiation of the investiture of the socialist candidate, Pedro Sánchez, which causes --textually-- the risk of a second election.

"I accept the words of Turull when he says that we have a golden opportunity," said Jordà, who has asked Junts to agree to --in his words-- demand from the PSOE some conditions to make the investiture possible.

He has also urged the PSOE to "put courageous political offers on the table" and has warned Sánchez that --literally-- he has to think in the long term and not be a slave to temporary tacitisms.

Regarding the negotiation, he has maintained that the majority of Catalans are committed to "a referendum agreed with the State" and has marked the new financing model for Catalonia and the transfer of Rodalies as vital.

"We are not worth a toast to the sun. When we talk about the transfer of Rodalies and resources, they have to have a date. Also the reduction of the fiscal deficit, what it translates into and when", he explained.
