ERC maintains that the amnesty is a "red line" without which there will be no investiture for Sánchez

BARCELONA, 18 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The ERC deputy in the Congress of Deputies, Teresa Jordà, has argued this Friday that the Amnesty Law is a "red line" without which they will not vote in favor of the investiture of the acting president and candidate for the PSOE presidency Pedro Sanchez.

In an interview in RAC 1 collected by Europa Press, he reiterated that, for his party, de-judicializing one of the contents of the agreement reached with the Socialists for the Table of Congress entails an Amnesty Law: "Not only that (the PSOE) the let it process, that this is vital, that up to now it has not happened, but also that it go ahead".

He has pointed out that, for this law to be processed, it was "extremely necessary" to have a Board, without which it is --literally-- impossible to do politics, even with the State.

Regarding the negotiation for the PSOE deputy Francina Armengol to preside over the Lower House, Jordà has attributed the announcement of the agreement on Thursday morning to the "nuances in the conditions".

"At 12 in the morning they sent a document that was already beginning to guarantee the agreements," he recounted about the negotiation with the PSOE, adding that they finished qualifying them early on Thursday before the constitution of the Cortes Generales.

Jordà has said that he is aware that "there have always been contacts with the Junts colleagues" since the municipal elections of 28M, both from the Parliament of Catalonia and from Madrid, which continue with a view to the investiture.

He has assured that the "priority" for his party from now on is to negotiate from a common front with Junts: "Now we have pro-independence comrades in Congress willing, a priori, to negotiate and advance, in the country and especially in our cause".

He has also maintained that they will "go down into the mud" to obtain sufficient support in the Council of the EU to materialize the measure so that Catalan can be spoken in the European chambers, a process initiated with the letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation in functions, José Manuel Albares, to the general secretary of the Council after announcing ERC support for the PSOE.

The Republican recalled that the measure was approved at the Dialogue Table with the Government in October last year, and blamed the corruption case of the MEP Eva Keili and the general elections on July 23 for finally not being carried out. .
