Del Pino defends that Ferrovial will be able to benefit from the tax neutrality regime for the transfer to the Netherlands

MADRID, 13 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Ferrovial, Rafael del Pino, has defended that the operation by which the company will transfer its headquarters to the Netherlands will allow it to take advantage of the tax neutrality regime, contrary to what was suggested by the Government.

In his speech at the general meeting of shareholders, the president of the construction company has assured that this corporate reorganization "pursues valid economic objectives", a necessary requirement to qualify for these tax savings.

"The operation is not carried out for tax reasons, since it is neutral for the company for these purposes. The taxes that Ferrovial will pay after the operation will be similar to those that it is paying before carrying it out. As shown by the jurisprudence of the Spanish courts and community, the existence of valid economic reasons and the fact that we are not pursuing any tax advantage allow the operation to qualify for the tax neutrality regime for mergers", he pointed out.
