Díaz summons Belarra to explain if Podemos will attend the Sumar act, whose lists will be decided by "the citizens"

MADRID, 22 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The second vice president of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, has urged this Wednesday the minister and leader of Podemos, Ione Belarra, to explain if the purple party is going to attend the Sumar act on April 2, when it is expected to announce its candidacy . That said, she has assured that whoever is a candidate for her political project will have to be elected "democratically by the citizens."

"The general secretary of Podemos has to explain what decision she is making," said the vice president in an interview with RNE, collected by Europa Press, in which she called both the citizens and the political parties to the left of the PSOE to support Sumar, since in that act of the 2nd "everything begins": "A country in favor, forward and towards the future".

The vice president has made Podemos ugly that has not yet supported Sumar "if he agrees" with the same "country project". "Let's walk together, it's what all of Spain wants," she asked.

And he has shown his desire that the party of Belarra and Irene Montero participate in the event, stating that "there is no reason" for the 'purple' not to be there. At the same time, he thanked groups such as Izquierda Unida, Más Madrid, En Comú Podem, Chunta Aragonesista or Drago for their confirmation of attendance.

Regarding the holding of primaries that Podemos demands in order to reach a coalition agreement, Díaz has regretted that she was chosen vice president by hand by Pablo Iglesias and has defended that "never" in his life has he fought for an electoral list.
