Díaz says that Sumar is more than a party agreement and that Spain is not reduced to a photo between Sánchez and Feijóo

He claims the incorporation of Bustinduy because for the projects to be "solid" you have to have the "best"

MADRID, 5 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, has claimed that Sumar "is not just an agreement between leftist parties" to come together in the face of the 23J elections, but that it is a "new project for the country", articulated from diversity and plurality.

He has also criticized the proposals of up to six 'face to face' between the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, ahead of the elections, by ruling that the Spain of the future is not reduced to a "debate between two men".

This has been conveyed during his speech at the third edition of the 'European Funds Forum' organized by 'Eldiario.es', where he has vindicated the incorporation into his campaign team of the former leader of Podemos Pablo Bustinduy.

During his speech, Díaz has emphasized that society is "waiting" for them and, in reference to Sumar, has promised that they aspire to give "serenity, calm and tranquility" to the citizenry, but above all "certainties". "Spanish society needs calm. We are facing a huge crisis, a polycrisis, and there are many uncertainties. Therefore, I believe that in turbulent times, serenity, peace and calm", he has deepened.

In turn, Díaz stressed that although the negotiations for a unity candidacy among fifteen progressive forces arouse great interest, Sumar "is not just an agreement between parties" but a new political agent who "wants more democracy, employment, companies solid and more rights" with "greater well-being.

On the other hand, and regarding the debates with the leader of the PP raised by Sánchez, the second vice president has explained that Spain "is not summed up" in a photo between the two leaders.

"That is a very small Spain, it is a part of Spain, but it does not reach it. We look at a wide Spain, at a Spain that is diverse (...) and that is not reduced, let me tell you, to a debate between two men. It is not. Spain is more than a debate between two men, believe me. And I think that the women and men of our country want more, they want a little more and we are working on this," he launched.

In this way, Díaz has assured that only "counting on plurality" is it "possible to advance in rights" and that this is precisely the hallmark of Sumar, with measures such as labor reform and proposals to undertake a tax reform.

Then, he stressed that it is an "honor" to incorporate Bustinduy into his training team, an "extraordinary professional" and "one of the brightest minds" in the country, since those assets are what are needed to take the " change of era" and get the project of the country moving forward.

Of the former leader of Podemos, he has stressed that he remembers his "height" and "greatness", as well as extraordinary interventions in Congress during his time as deputy. Finally, he thanked her for taking that step "forward" because the projects are "made by the people" and to be "solid" they need the "best".
