César Molina, former minister of Zapatero, supports Feijóo: "You have to vote for him so that ghosts have no choice"

The former Minister of Culture in the period of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, César Antonio Molina, has demanded this Friday, June 30, the vote for the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, in the next general elections, also attacking the current president of the Government, Pedro Sanchez.

"Trust Feijóo, you have to vote for him so that the ghosts on either side have no choice," Molina said during his speech at an event in Madrid to present the general lines of the popular in the cultural sector.

"President Sánchez thinks that only the Basques and Catalans are first class and the rest are second or third class. Despite what President Sánchez says in the Senate insulting all Galicians, Galicia is a first class autonomy, but is that they all are. And Feijóo is also first class", he added.

In his defense, Molina recalled that Feijóo has been "since the first years of his life" working with "all Galicians". "He is our president, I have felt proud represented by him and that is why I am here. The time has come and we are in very complicated circumstances in our country", he affirmed.

Molina has described Feijóo as "an old and great friend" with whom he has experienced "many vicissitudes over the years." "He is a person you can trust, we Galicians have trusted Feijóo for years and years and he has had majorities in which only PP militants and supporters could not have given them," he remarked.

The former socialist minister considers that in Spain "there are no longer sensible politicians and almost the only one is President Feijóo." "Our country is full of foolish politicians who are leading us into an abyss from which we will hardly be able to get out, dangerous," he warned to later ask for the vote again for "a person who is sensible, capable, real, clear and reliable".

"In Galicia, Feijóo has had to fight with a very complicated nationalism and he has done it very well with the least possible damage: nobody like him has had to fight the same problems that he will have to do when he is president of Spain, because he knows them and he has done well", he pointed out.

Molina has insisted on culture as a "state matter" and has asked the two "big parties" to reach agreements on this matter. "I hope that one gets out of the disease he has and returns to his right mind and in that bipartisanship state agreements can be reached," he lamented.

FEIJÓO THANKS THE SUPPORT OF A "CONVINCED SOCIALIST"

These words have been answered by Feijóo in the same act, who has thanked the former minister for his support. "César is someone I have admired and respected for years and he is a socialist. Today we have not asked for a license to enter this room because otherwise, the socialists could not, and I am proud that a convinced socialist can be here", has remarked.

Molina has also asked the leader of the PP to maintain the Ministry of Culture. "Almost a million cultural workers need a minister: it is not allowable or debatable, he has to be there", he insisted. In addition, he has defended the role of the monarchy and its relationship with culture, describing as "outrageous how it has been treated in recent years." "It is the best representation in the world and the best way to spread Spain in the world", he has indicated.

CULTURE "IS NO ONE'S HERITAGE"

Marta Rivera de la Cruz, number two of the PP on the list for the Congress of Deputies for Madrid, or the vice-secretary for Culture and Open Society of the PP, Borja Sémper, also participated in the event. Precisely, the latter has defended the work of his party regarding culture.

"We are convinced that culture has no political color nor is it from the left or the right. It simply challenges all of us as human beings, regardless of who we vote for or pray to: it is nobody's heritage," he concluded.
