Cimic (ACS) is awarded five electrical works projects in Hong Kong for 69 million euros

Leighton Asia, a company belonging to the Cimic group, the Australian subsidiary of ACS, has been awarded five electrical works projects for the Hong Kong Housing Authority, which will generate income for the company of 116 million Australian dollars (about 69 millions of euros).

Specifically, these five projects, achieved in the last year and a half, have been awarded to Pekko Engineers, Leighton Asia's mechanical and electrical engineering division, and include mechanical and electrical works for more than 9,700 residential homes, reported this Monday. ACS's Australian subsidiary in a statement.

The executive president of the Cimic group, Juan Santamaría, has highlighted that Pekko Engineers "has a solid track record in providing the best engineering services in Hong Kong".

"We are pleased to continue working with the Housing Authority to support the Government's policy of alleviating the city's need for housing," added Santamaría.

For his part, the managing director of Leighton Asia, Brad Davey, stressed that winning five projects in 18 months from the same client "is a great achievement."
