Capital Energy signs with all the owners of the land of its wind farm in 'La Herrada' (Albacete)

MADRID, 29 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Capital Energy has reached the milestone of signing lease contracts with all the owners of the land on which the 'La Herrada' wind farm is being built, the company's first project of these characteristics in the Community of Castilla-La Mancha , as well as its evacuation infrastructures, reported the company.

Specifically, the renewables group has sealed almost 100 contracts with around 160 owners of more than 180 plots located in the Albacete town of Montealegre del Castillo, where it will develop the park and which total 500,000 square meters of surface area.

Capital Energy highlighted that this milestone demonstrates "the enormous social consensus" around this new renewable energy plant, which is exactly what the company is pursuing when it approaches each of its sustainable projects, thus reaching "agreements with all local interest groups and promoting the socio-economic development of the municipalities and the improvement of the quality of life of its inhabitants".

In addition, the works of 'La Herrada' have already begun through the Albacete infrastructure company Gestacur, which will be in charge, until the last quarter of this year, of the engineering, supply, construction, commissioning and restoration of this wind farm.

Located in the province of Albacete, the 'La Herrada' park, which will involve an investment of around 53 million euros, will have an access power of 51 megawatts (MW) and its 10 wind turbines, model Siemens Gamesa '5.0 - 145', with a unit capacity of 5.2 MW, will be capable of supplying close to 149,000 megawatt hours (MWh) per year, enough to satisfy the consumption of around 56,000 Castilian-Lavanna homes with clean electricity, as well as to avoid the annual emission into the atmosphere of about 55,000 tons of CO2.

Likewise, the development of the plant will promote the creation of more than 170 direct jobs during the peak periods of its construction and will have a contribution to GDP throughout its useful life equivalent to almost 1.4 million euros. euros per year, as well as an annual tax contribution to local coffers of more than 150,000 euros.

In Castilla-La Mancha, the renewable energy firm plans to develop 865 MW, both wind (288 MW) and photovoltaic (577 MW). The construction of this portfolio, made up of 11 projects -five wind and six solar-, would create some 2,215 direct jobs and would imply a tax contribution of more than 12 million euros and a contribution to GDP of approximately 165 million euros in this community.
