Brent oil climbs above $91 for the first time since October

The price of a barrel of Brent quality crude oil, the reference for Europe, exceeded the level of 91 dollars before the markets opened on Friday, thus reaching its highest level since the end of last October, boosted by tensions in the Middle East. .

Specifically, the cost of a barrel of Brent oil rose today to $91.22, at the levels of October 23, 2023, with a revaluation of 18% so far this year.

In this way, the price of a barrel of reference crude oil for European markets is currently more than 7% above the level recorded in April 2023.

In the case of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil, a barrel rose in price to exceed $87 for the first time since the end of last October. So far in 2024, US crude oil has appreciated more than 20%.
