Bolaños: "It would not be understood" that some parties remain in "maximum positions" to agree on the next investiture

CUEVAS DEL ALMANZORA (ALMERÍA), 3 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The acting Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, warned this Thursday that "it would not be understood" that there are political parties that, in the framework of the negotiations to agree on the investiture of the Prime Minister that comes out of the July 23 elections, they remain in "maximum positions" without making "movements".

This was stated by the minister in an attention to the media before a visit to the works of the Murcia-Almería high-speed line, in the Pulpí-Vera section of the province of Almería, and to questions from journalists about said negotiations to try to agree to a new investiture of the general secretary of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, as president of the Government.

Félix Bolaños has advocated being "discreet in conversations", because "it is a norm that has been successful during this legislature", and has appealed to be "respectful towards people who think differently", as well as, "of course", to be "responsible, because what we are playing as a country is very important," as he added.

"I think that the specificity in this case is discretion, and that is why I insist that I think we have to be discreet", and "that the dialogue, to be useful, to be fruitful, must be discreet and respectful", The acting minister has insisted, who has also reiterated his call to "be responsible, because as a country we are at stake a lot".

Along these lines, Bolaños has maintained that "the mandate of the citizens" given at the 23J polls for "our country to continue advancing has been a very clear mandate", and has added that he understands "that there may be political forces that the negotiations, the conversations, with positions of maximums, very maximalist".

"But just as I also tell you that what we have in our hands is as important as the future of our country, it would not be understood that these political forces would remain in top positions without making any kind of movement", the acting minister added. of the Presidency.

Félix Bolaños concluded by stating that "the essential thing is that we can continue talking calmly, that any agreement we reach has to be a balance point where all parties feel comfortable, of course within the law, within the Constitution, which means that Spain continues advancing". "And all these are the points that I think we have to walk, transit, giving time to time, because of course, we, from the Government, are in no hurry," he added to conclude.
