Body, Montero and Escrivá promise their new positions in the Government before the King

The new Minister of Economy, Commerce and Business, Carlos Body, promised the position this Friday before Felipe VI in the Zarzuela Palace together with the already ministers María Jesús Montero, who has done the same as the new first vice president, and José Luis Escrivá, by adding the Public Function portfolio to the Digital Transformation portfolio.

Body, Montero and Escrivá have promised to faithfully carry out their new duties before the King, who, as is usual in this type of solemn events, has been accompanied by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez; and by the Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, as chief notary of the Kingdom. The president of the Senate, Pedro Rollán, of the PP, and the president of the Constitutional Court, Cándido Conde-Pumpido, also attended.

The promise before the King and in front of a copy of the Constitution occurred after Sánchez announced early this morning this remodeling of the Government, forced by the departure of Nadia Calviño, until today first vice president and Minister of Economy, to chair the European Investment Bank.
