Bildu accuses the PNV of suffering "a horn attack" for its agreements with the central government

He makes a "very positive" assessment of the agreements reached by the sovereignist coalition during the current legislature in the State

BILBAO, 28 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The spokesperson for EH Bildu Unai Urruzuno has accused the PNV of suffering "a horn attack" due to EH Bildu's agreements with the central government and has asked the jeltzale formation if parties like PP and Vox have also voted against the law of housing due to an invasion of jurisdiction.

In statements to Radio Popular, collected by Europa Press, the representative of the sovereignist coalition has thus referred to the approval of the housing law in Congress and the criticism of the PNV for a possible invasion of powers.

In this sense, Urruzuno recalled that since learning about the ERC and EH Bildu agreement with the Executive, the PNV spoke of an invasion of jurisdiction despite acknowledging that it still "did not have the text" and, to date, "nobody has said to EH Bildu where this jurisdictional invasion takes place".

"In the first draft, it is true that there were indications that it could happen. We have dealt with it in detail and, to our knowledge, there is no invasion of jurisdiction. We have prepared it with ERC, which is the Government of Catalonia and would be the least interested of it happening", he added.

In addition, he has highlighted that "prestige jurists" deny the invasion of jurisdiction although it is "what the PNV had to say at this time, after having run out of excuses" and after having opposed the Basque housing law at the time.

In his opinion, this is a "merely ideological and political" debate and this Thursday it was possible to see in Congress how the parties of the right and left were positioning themselves in the opposite direction.

"PP and Vox have also voted against. Why? Because of the invasion of jurisdiction? The PNV has run out of excuses," he insisted, adding that all the agreements reached by EH Bildu with the Government have "generated in the PNV an attack of horns" since the jeltzale formation "understands it as an intrusion into their private preserve".

In addition, he has described as "very positive" the assessment that EH Bildu can make of what has been achieved in the current legislature in the State. "Nor did we believe that before a PSOE-Podemos government we could take the steps we have taken in certain matters," he insisted.

However, Urruzuno has shown himself to be "aware" that in what "concerns the nationalities of the State, the central government is not very sensitive."

Regarding the Basque Country Education Bill, approved this past Tuesday by the Governing Council, he considered it "important" that it have "the greatest possible consensus." "You have to have a debate on content and we have been receptive," he defended.

In this context, and in the face of the PSE's criticism of the linguistic models, Urruzuno has assured that it is something that does not surprise him and that it is a debate "that has little to do with education."
